President John Dramani Mahama has assured Ghanaians of a future driven by progressive policies and dynamic economic strategies.
Speaking at the launch of the National Economic Dialogue in Accra, on Monday, March 3, 2025, he expressed hope that the 24-Hour Economy policy would transform the country's economic landscape, create sustainable jobs, and position the country as a competitive force on the global stage.
"My fellow Ghanaians, a new era is upon us. An era of bold transformation, economic expansion, and limitless opportunities.
"At the heart of our vision for Ghana's future is the implementation of a 24-Hour Economy that works for all. This strategy will revolutionise our economic landscape, create sustainable jobs, and position Ghana as a competitive force on the global stage," he declared.
The president urged key stakeholders to collaborate in building a strong and dynamic economy.
"Let us work together to build a resilient, competitive, and prosperous Ghana. I fully understand that the road ahead will not be easy, but it is a journey we must undertake.
"Responsibility for rebuilding Ghana’s economy does not rest on the government’s shoulders alone. It is a shared responsibility that requires the active participation of every Ghanaian. Let us rise to the occasion, take decisive and necessary action, and ensure that we leave behind a legacy of economic resilience, stability, and prosperity for future generations," he added.
The National Economic Dialogue is expected to bring key stakeholders, including government officials, economists, and business leaders together to deliberate on measures for resetting Ghana’s economy.
