Did Wontumi not honour the invitation by the NIB? It's the way and manner in which he was picked up by EOCO that generated all the furore. If you invite them without a rambo-style arrest, there will be no noise.

When he frustrated their efforts by cowardly barricading himself in his house, inciting the public to mass at his home and sending the now-famous audio seeking for help, it was then that his legsl team managed to renegotiate another meeting at the CID HQ. Wontumi thought that he could use the crowd to prevent accountability. Having woefully failed in that pursuit, he is now eating humble pie. Many former officials have honoured their invitations and are still engaging with the authorities wothout fanfare

This is a thief and an idiot that won't let the Security Agents with a warrant into his house at Kumasi. The same place he was going to go after leaving one agency. The EOCO officers should have broken down his gate at Kumasi or wherever. The thief or suspect does not determine where or whether he should surrender and at what time!
