Ernest Owusu Bempeh is the Deputy Director of Communications of the New Patriotic Party
The Deputy Director of Communications of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ernest Owusu Bempeh, has commended President John Dramani Mahama for his leadership style.
In an interview on Atinka TV, and shared on X on January 15, 2026, Ernest Owusu Bempeh stated that the president has made his second tenure in office an attractive one.
According to him, President Mahama has performed exceptionally well by appointing party loyalists who supported his campaign.

“He has done very well, and so I will give him 100 per cent, especially for appointing people who worked tirelessly to campaign for him during the election. This shows that he was grateful for their efforts,” he said.
Ernest Owusu Bempeh further noted that the NPP, as an opposition party, should be concerned about how the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is managing the affairs of the country.
“From what he is doing now, if you belong to a political party such as the NPP, you have to be worried because, indirectly, he is making his party attractive to the youth.
“And if we do not restructure ourselves as a political party, we will suffer because the new youth and the current crop of individuals venturing into politics are thinking differently,” he added.
