His unwise, counter-productive and ill-considered initiative of introducing an exclusive dedicated TV service for Parliament has largely served to further undermine the required respect that Parliament so badly needs. Having thus badly exposed itself, the ongoing shenanigans in Parliament has further tilted public opinion against itself. No doubt, Speaker Bagbin himself is a nice man with good intentions but his greatest weakness, leading to some of his shortcomings, is that, he has stayed so long in that institution that he has become inured to the disorder, the irritating acts of indiscipline and the often chaotic confrontations that require a necessary reset.

Oh, how happy I am that all of my family's cocoa farmers are gone. None of my family members nor descendants will ever have to go to the farms at dawn to carry cocoa before they go to school only for the Accra elites to reap the benefits of our labour.

Why is cocoa clinic built in Accra and not the cocoa producing areas? Are you seeing what we are seeing? Why is cocoa processing built in Accra? Cocoa farmers pay the highest tax in Ghana but do not have pension but the Accra elites get the highest pay and pension in the cocoa industry. Cocoa farmers and their children too need high paid jobs and pensions.

And to those in gold producing areas, don't allow the Accra elites destroy your lad through gala but build gold processing plants in Accra / Tema for the Accra elites. Are you seeing what we are seeing?

Subsidise petrol to make it cost less, this will drive down prices and encourage alot and alot job creation, more consumer spend for you to make your money back through taxation.

It also strengthens the cedi against the dollar, inflation...so you don't need to artificially pump billions of dollars to create artificial strong cedi. Instead use it to subsidise petrol. Cedi will stabilise naturally.

Afenyo-Markin is becoming unbecoming. Partisan politics shouldn’t blind him in disrespecting people and the institutions they represent as leaders.
He calls for respect for his side of the house and for himself yet he comes to insult and use fowl language to describe people occupying state institutions.
Afenyo-Markin and his followers can’t decide for government what should be done. I keep wondering why he has chosen to mislead the once vibrant party into towing his way instead of national interests.
The NPP must sit up and look at its parliamentary leadership. There seems to be a sort of arrogance being the order of the day by all who sit in the frontline seats. Sad to say, the only woman among them is also towing that way by making false claims.
Nobody will take the NPP serious if they don’t look at their leadership crisis. It appears there’s nothing happening right within the NPP.

We have been bored by the long and endless speeches of this same Afenyo-Markin on the floor of the House. What is he seeking to achieve here? We remember how the E-Levy act was passed in Parliament. Even the dying were brought in by ambulances and stretchers in order for the then NPP government to achieve its aim. We still remember when a deputy speaker, working for the NPP, overturned the ruling of the substantive speaker in the last administration. Afenyo-Markin is a lawyer but, he in opposition, has forgotten the principle of precedent. Look, we are sick and tired of these rantings and baseless arguments. They can walk out of the chamber and say anything to the public and the world through their myriads of press conferences. However, the world is not stupid.

GIVE THE POWER TO THE GRASSROOTS, NOT THE WONTUMIS AND BAWUMIAS, AND KEHHEDY ACHEMPONGS WHO CAN AFFORD THE RIDICULOUS MILLIONS FOR PRESIDENTIAL NOMINATION FEES.
