Former Weija-Gbawe MP Tina Mensah hints at desire to return to Parliament

A former Member of Parliament for the Weija-Gbawe Constituency, Tina Mensah, has hinted at her desire to return to Parliament.

She made the remarks during a tour of the New Gbawe Astro Turf electoral area, where delegates had cast their votes in the New Patriotic Party’s presidential elections.

Mensah stated that she is prepared to contest again if given the opportunity, expressing her willingness to serve the constituency once more.

In responding to a question from some journalists, she stated; “What a question. Everything is in the hands of the Almighty God. If God says I should, I’m ready.”

Meanwhile, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has been reelected the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party ahead of the 2028 Election.

Dr Mahamudu Bawumia secured 110,643 votes (56.48%), sweeping 14 out of 16 regions, while Kennedy Agyapong came second, with strong showings in some constituencies but fell short overall.

The others, Bryan Acheampong, Yaw Osei Adutwum, and Kwabena Agyapong, trailed with smaller shares of the vote.
