'NPP must rebuild trust and unite for 2028 victory' – Dr Opoku Prempeh

Presidential Running Mate to Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in the 2024 General Elections, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has expressed profound gratitude to delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) following the party’s presidential primaries held on January 31, 2926.

In a message of appreciation, Dr Opoku Prempeh extended special thanks to delegates across the Ashanti, Ahafo, Bono, Bono East, and Western North Regions

for their overwhelming support during the contest. He noted that throughout engagements with party faithful, delegates strongly embraced the message of consistency and continuity — values he described as a defining hallmark of the party’s political tradition.

According to him, the delegates demonstrated their confidence in that vision by voting massively in favour of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

Dr Opoku Prempeh stressed that with the primaries now concluded, the focus must shift towards unity and rebuilding trust among Ghanaians.

He called on party members to come together and recommit themselves to serving the people of Ghana.

He further emphasised that the party must work diligently to regain the confidence of the electorate as it prepares strategically towards securing victory in the 2028 general elections.

He reiterated the need for collective effort, unity of purpose, and renewed dedication to the party’s ideals as the NPP charts its path forward.

Dr Opoku Prempeh concluded by encouraging party faithful to remain committed to the rebuilding process, expressing optimism about the party’s prospects in the next general elections.
