John Boadu is an Aspiring New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Chairman
Aspiring New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Chairman, John Boadu, has declared that his sole focus is leading the party to victory in the 2028 general elections, urging delegates to prioritise immediate electoral success over longer-term ambitions.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, September 29 2026, ahead of the party’s National Chairman election, Boadu said the NPP must ask itself one critical question at this moment: who can lead the party back to victory?

“My answer is clear. I have done it before, and I am ready to do it again,” he stated.
Boadu recalled the 2016 election, when many thought victory was impossible due to internal challenges.
He elaborated on how he worked with dedicated members, sympathisers and volunteers to deliver that win. I
n 2020, despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the party defended the victory.
As Acting General Secretary and Director of Operations, he said he helped introduce systems that strengthened the party’s electoral readiness.
These included the Pink Sheet Tracking System from IPAC to polling stations, rapid results collation within 16 hours of the close of polls, nationwide training for trainers and polling agents, the V16 volunteer-based election-protection structure, mock elections, Operation Adopt a Polling Station, election-day logistics and voter transportation coordination, verification of the Electoral Commission’s voter album against party records, strategic retail campaigning in key constituencies, stronger ballot security, and Operation Eagle Eye targeting areas of weakness.
“I have contested and won elections within the Party, served at the polling-station, constituency and national levels, and helped manage national campaigns,” Boadu noted.
“I KNOW ELECTIONS. I KNOW THE PARTY. I KNOW WHAT IT TAKES TO WIN,” he emphasised.
Whatever longer-term ambitions others may hold, he said, the immediate task is to rebuild the party, restore confidence, strengthen structures and win back power.
“On Saturday, 3 October 2026, delegates are not simply electing a National Chairman. They are choosing the experience, institutional knowledge and proven record needed to reposition the Party for 2028,” the statement added.
“I have walked the road to victory before. Let us walk it again, together. LET’S BRING BACK THE WINNING WAYS OF THE NPP. VOTE JOHN BOADU FOR NATIONAL CHAIRMAN,” Boadu concluded.
