Lets conduct our affairs in a civil and peaceful manner - Minority Leader

Mr. Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, the Minority Leader and Member of Parliament (MP) for Suame, has called on members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to ensure that their campaign is conducted in a civil and peaceful manner.

He said they should do away with insults and intemperate language likely to undermine the peace of the nation.

Mr. Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, who was inaugurating a 17-member campaign team of the party at Suame-Kotoko in Kumasi, said all must share in the responsibility of assisting to deepen the country’s democracy.

He said he was upbeat about the NPP’s chances in this year’s general polls, and that he had no doubt that Ghanaians would vote massively to bring the party back to power given the poor performance of the Mills Administration.

He however, advised against complacency and asked the members and supporters to accept to do their bit to boost the party’s appeal to floating voters.

He said they should work hard and move from house-to-house to help the people gain a better understanding of the NPP’s ideology to win them over.

Alhaji Moctar Bemba, the National Organizer of the NPP asked the Team to adopt effective campaign strategies to expand the party’s support base.

He said there should be no illusion that with the right approach the NPP could significantly increase its share of votes in the area.

Nana Kofi Senyah, Assembly Member for New-Suame, praised Mr. Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu for the tremendous effort he was making to bring development to the people.

Mallam Mustapha Abubakar, Chairman of the Team, pledged to work with a unity of purpose and passion to give the NPP a massive electoral victory in the December polls.**
