CODGHA’S Tribute To the 3rd John on the Third Day

Fri, 27 Jul 2012 Source: --

We have not yet come to terms with the sudden demise of our President, Father, Uncle And Brother, His Excellency Professor John Evans Fiifi Atta Mills, but we cannot pay this tribute to the 3rd John without raising serious concern on issues that touches on ones patriotism to mother Ghana.

He was pronounce dead on three occasions before he finally gave up, but people he could call his own would not wait for the third day to pass before scrambling for what he left behind! Like the colonial greed to partition Africa and for that matter Ghana, in less than 72 hours, people from his own party would not allow his soul to rise to ascension before scrambling for positions in the party, this we find very intriguing if it is worth dying for mother Ghana?

Coalition for the Development of Ghanaians (CODGHA) wishes to express our heart felt condolence to the Former First Lady Mrs. Dr. Ernestina Naadu Mills, NDC Party and all Ghanaians. Our prayer is that God should give us the strength to embrace the pain and burn it as fuel for the journey ahead. For whilst we are still mourning the loss of our father, we know the angels are rejoicing to meet him behind the veil.

Prof! CODGHA takes pride in the fact that even though you have become memory; the memories themselves have been translated into treasures. You kept at true, good humor, accepted our criticism and responded to them swiftly! We take solace in the fact that, it is the will of God and Nature that these mortal bodies be laid aside, when the soul is to enter in to real life; for we believe this is rather an embryo state, a preparation for living; for a man is not completely born until he is dead: Why then should we grieve that a new child is born among the immortals? May the good God of our ancestors grant you peace and a perfect rest till we meet again!!! Damerifa due! Agya nate yie...

As a group we are very surprised, saddened and heart broken by the actions by some blogs and foot soldiers within the NDC in hurry to put up candidates to vie for the running mate position in the upcoming elections, just 3 days after the passage of our dear President! We are therefore praying the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as a sign of respect to the immediate past leader of the party to halt any lobbying and angling of candidates to become Vice Presidential candidates, till the one week national mourning is over!
