A group calling itself support group of Ade Coker has called on both regional and national executives of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) to call a self styled NDC guru dreaming to become the next chairman for the greater Accra region to order.
According to the group, until recently the region has known perfect tranquility and living convivially with each other until certain Manly-Spain reared its ugly head to contest for the position of regional chairman.
The group contended that though it was not wrong for interested individuals to express interest in contesting any position in the party, however questioned the modus operandi of the boxing promoter.
‘’Article 39 of the constitution of the NDC titled: CODE OF CONDUCT, reference to section (a) of the article entreats all party members to ensure unity and cohesion in the party at all times but the frequent false allegations made against the chairman and the entire executives is just to incite membership against the executives for his parochial interest, an act which is not only barbaric but unethical,’’ the support group said.
At a press conference in the Central region the coordinator, the coordinator for the support group of Ade Coker Hon. David Nii Abossey Braide lashed at Manly-Spain to use his energy and propagate what different and extra-ordinary administrative skills he has in his sleeves if given the opportunity and stop using divisive tendencies to destroy the party which has been made strong, united and peaceful under the incumbent chairman, Ade Coker.
David Nii Abossey Braide stated that ‘’the Machiavellian tactic being adopted by Manly-Spain if not checked by regional and national executives will have dire consequences.’’
‘’we are not scared of a contest but it’s becoming obvious that we are now contending with persons who are insolent and uncouth, empty barrels and gluttonous followers who think of daily bread than the progress of the party.
Nii noted that, his group believes in healthy rivalry in modern day politics which is played on the premises of decorum with high level minded persons with wits to show respect to fellow aspirant to ensure a united front to make 2016 a mere formality.
Nii challenged to Manly-Spain to prove if he is a member of the NDC with his membership card. He alleged that the distributor of fish, chicken wings and cash to influence delegates does not belong to a branch or a party card; it is on this basis we think he is not qualified to contest the elections.
‘’Ade Coker’s leadership is unique and cannot be equated to any previous leader of the Greater Accra region; the achievements are there to prove. After all there is no single thing Manly-Spain can point to which can confirm his contributions to the greater Accra NDC, not to talk about the region.
