The question is not about whether or not he wrote a letter. It is about a receipt of payment of the GHC85,000.00. Was he given a receipt of payment from the party HQ? In any case, aspirants were to pay with money order; does it mean that he paid with cash or by letter. To me, he is not qualified. He should have collected the money from sources and then paid to the Party by money order and collected a receipt.

If there was an agreement that the monies would be repaid prior to the holding of presidential primaries then I think he did the wise thing by requesting that the required fees be deducted from the reimbursement. If agreement was that he would be paid after the primaries then to my mind the Hon MP can be faulted and disqualified for the primaries.
