The prevailing dynamics in the Central region as a swing enclave in respect of elections will vary in the December polls, Bernard Allotey Jacob has said, insisting that President Mahama will court massive support from locals in his second term bid ahead of the general elections.
“The Mahama magic has changed the psychology and the perception of the people of Central region; We’re hoping by the grace of God they will continue to support Mr. Mahama’s presidency, the Central Regional Chairman reiterated.
President Mahama is seeking a second term bid as Ghana goes to the polls in December.
He’s already advanced his campaign in the Western and Northern regions and promise to improve the lives of Ghanaians largely in his second term in office.
He’s scheduled to today [Monday], begin his five-day tour of the Central Region.
A statement from the Spokesperson of the NDC campaign team, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, earlier said: “With five more Community Day Senior High School buildings completed in the region, President Mahama will start his tour with the Inauguration of the Agona Abodom Community Senior High School. While in the region, the leader of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will visit and pay courtesy calls on the various traditional councils, interact with identifiable groups and address party supporters.”
In his campaign in the region, he’s billed to visit constituencies like Agona East, Agona West, Gomoa East, Gomoa West, Gomoa Central, Ekumfi, Mfantseman and Cape Coast North all in the Central region.
The others are Cape Coast South, Ekumfi, Asikuma Odoben Brakwa, Ajumako Enyan Esiam, Bisease, Awutu Senya East, Awutu Senya West, and Komenda Edina Eguafo Abirem constituencies.
Allotey Jacobs told Kasapa 102.5 FM that the organizers have changed the phase of the incumbent’s campaign within the region, as he’ll rather seek to interact more with electorates who’ll give him the mandate for this elections.
He adds “The people will have to feel the President, that is what we intend doing.”
