The Let My Vote Count Alliance (LMVCA) pressure group of opposition NPP converged at the Okaishie Drug Lane in Accra to commemorate the one year anniversary of their demonstration that led to an unfortunate event of clashes with security operatives.
The group remembers their demonstration which left 36-year-old Justice Adzakumah blinded in one eye while many sustained various levels of injury when their resolve to picket at the EC office to demand a credible voters’ register turned chaotic due to a misunderstanding with officers over the route.
The security operatives charged on the demonstrators with guns, batons, hot water cannons and tear gas for attempting to veer off the approved route.
The grande occasion saw party big wigs like Kennedy Agyapong, Hopeson Adorye, Abu Jinapor, David Asante etc. attending.
