Anthony Nyobozie, the Nkoranza South New Patriotic Party Constituency Secretary has appealed to the Assembly members to confirm the President’s Nominee, Madam Diana Ataa Kusiwaa as the District Chief Executive.

He also entreated all party supporters in the constituency to rally solidly behind the president's nominee, who is the party’s constituency women organizer.

Addressing an emergency meeting of the constituency executives at Sessiman, a suburb of Nkoranza, Mr Nyobozie expressed appreciation to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the nominee saying Madam Kusiwaa deserved the position.

He expressed worry about recent demonstrations by some party members against the president’s appointments, and pleaded with NPP supporters to stop such agitations in the supreme interest of the party and the nation as a whole.

Mr Nyobozie emphasised that the constituency remained a strong force of the NPP and would not do anything “stupid” to dent the image of the party.

Meanwhile, Madam Kusiwaa, a-41-year-old teacher, has expressed her appreciation to President Akufo-Addo for her nomination and thanked party supporters for their cooperation.

She told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that she was optimistic that the Assembly members would endorse her nomination, and pleaded with her other contestants who also vied for the position to support her for the development of the district.
