The Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central, Isaac Adongo has launched a scathing attack on the New Patriotic Party (NPP), describing it as an "epileptic government" that is "setting new standards of incompetence and mediocrity".

Adongo ridiculed President Nana Addo's claim that the NPP solved the country's energy crises whiles they "struggled to manage a simple software at ECG for loading electricity units".

"The people who recently struggled to manage a simple software at ECG for loading electricity units for sale to consumers claim they solved dumsor," Honourable Adongo said in a write-up.

"As electricity bills continue to be higher than rent, it is even now dependent on how long Akufo Addo charges his fon.Akufo Addo now takes his electricity anytime he's charging his fon.

He added, "This epileptic Govt is now setting new standards of incompetence and mediocrity. Akufo Addo suddenly went mute on his promise to reduce electricity tarriffs during his state of the nation address. Con men always live in their own shadows."

Honourable Adongo, who is a member of the Finance Committee in Parliament, has been one of the serious critics of the Akufo-Addo administration.

While contributing to a debate on floor of Parliament on Wednesday, the Bolgatanga Central MP urged the members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to take their time and teach the president basic mathematics.

His remarks, came at the back of the president's claim that his administration has saved the country some money after reducing sole sourcing by 37 percent within its first year in office.
