The President, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo nominee for the position of District Chief Executive for Nantong, has been overwhelmingly endorsed by members of the Assembly.
A total number of Twenty Seven (27) Assembly members all voted yes for the President's nominee.
The Natong District which is one newly created Metropolitan, Municipal and District under the current government was calved out of the Savelugu/Nantong Municipal last year.
The DCE elect, Hon Abubakari Attramani urged the people in the newly created district to support him to succeed.
According to him, the area faces enormous challenges that needs the support of everybody.
Hon Abubakari Attramani thanked the President, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo for the honour done him.
The Nantong DCE also thanked members of the Assembly for the confident they reposted in him, saying that, the overwhelming confirmation of his nomination by the Assembly is also an endorsement by the chiefs and people in the area.
The newly District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Nantong District has assured members of the National Patriotic Party and citizenry of the district that he is going to live up to expectation and the trust that has be embedded in him in the discharge of his duties as a DCE.
He made this assurance showing his appreciation for the great honour done him by the President, His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo, saying that, he is much delighted for the nomination and will do all that is required of him to make the district a peaceful and comfortable one for its citizenry.
“I would like to assure honorable assembly members and the entire district that I will live up to expectation, up to the trust that has been reposed in me. Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, being once a presiding member of the then Savelugu-Nantong District Assembly, I clearly understand the concerns of honorable assembly members and have pledged to carry those concerns on board in the exercise of my duties as a DCE. I wish to also assure our beloved NPP party of my commitment to promoting peace and unity by bringing all aggrieved members in the party”
Hon Attramani stated emphatically that though the district was face with challenges, his administration is going to do everything possible to ensure that security and comfort was guaranteed and as such, appealed to the Regional Minister and citizenry to support in order to aid uplift the socio-economic of the district.
“The district is still facing enormous challenges in terms of its development, internally generated funds, boundary conflict, lack of Senior High Schools, lack of good drinking water, bad roads among others. I wish to make a humble appeal to the Honorable Regional Minister and all of you assist me to confront these challenges so that the district development will be enhanced holistically.
