Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central Constituency, Kennedy Agyapong has admitted that first-time lawmaker, Anthony Abayifaa Karbo within two years since his election in 2016 has performed creditably well than he has in his five terms.

The maverick politician who is serving his 18th year as an MP observed that some of the policies and programmes initiated by the former National Youth Organiser of the party is unimaginable and a feather in his cap.

“It is not the question of time whether two months or one year but the impact of what he has done to the women. With my 18-years as a Member of Parliament (MP), I have not even given it a thought. I think he deserves an applause”, he revealed during the launch of the Ti-Deltaa Women’s Group.

He appealed to other members of the party and lawmakers, in particular, to emulate the strategy adopted by Karbo observing that having women groups at heart has already won him the 2020 polls.

“Karbo, I don’t know what to say to you. You have really encouraged me to do more. Let me tell you, I have been in parliament for five consecutive terms, this is my 18th year. I have never seen a Member of Parliament who has been able to organize 3,000 women in his constituency as I have seen today. It tells me that great leaders are born but not of the age of Methuselah. Irrespective of your age, you can be a leader. What I have seen today, I know Karbo has won the 2020 elections…no question about that”, he disclosed to the cheers of various women groups.

Mr Kennedy Agypong expressed hope that God would continue to impart knowledge on Karbo to deliver properly his mandate to the people of the area describing him as an epitome of development

“Let us pray for Hon Karbo for unique ingenuity, for the vision and the caring of women. I think he is a great boy, he has done very well. For 18 years I don’t even have a constituency office. This bad boy took me to his office and I felt I had some enemies even within my team here. They cast all sorts of insinuations. I have learnt two things from him and I won’t hide it; the women and the party office…I am carrying the idea to Central Region”, he stressed.
