Tema West MP settle 30 women with business start-ups

The NPP member of parliament for Tema west constituency who doubled as a deputy minister for trade and industries, Hon. Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah has presented equipments for soap making and other household detergents to thirty (30) women in his constituency, after going through a free sponsored training.

The presentation that was done at the NPP party office in Sakumono had support from the National Board for Small Scale Industries (NBSSI).

According to the MP, the gesture forms party of his initiatives to support the timing unemployed in his constituency.

Speaking to the media, the deputy minister stated that, the government led by Nana Addo have not shifted from their promise to create more jobs for the unemployed youth.

"The government is focused on creating jobs for the youth, as a country, we are spending a lot on importing household detergents and we can reduce that by encouraging the youth to learn and venture into how to produce some this detergents" the MP stated.

The beneficiaries also expressed gratitude to the honourable member for the kind gesture and assured that, they will use the equipments to achieve its intended purposes.

"In fact we are very much pleased with the kind gesture from our MP, through his effort we have got something better doing, we can now boast of having a job" the beneficiaries said.
