An aspiring parliamentary candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the Madina constituency Francis-Xavier Sosu, has appealed to delegates of the NDC to vote for him to contest in the upcoming parliamentary primaries.
This will be the third time the human rights lawyer is contesting the NDC’s primaries within the Madina constituency.
In an interview with Kwabena Prah (The Don) on Ghana Yensom on Accra 100.5FM, on Tuesday, 20 August 2019, Mr Sosu said his track record of saving the poor from injustice puts him ahead of his competitors in the race.
“I have what it takes to be the parliamentary candidate for the NDC in the Madina constituency,” he said adding that “Everybody knows my background as a lawyer and as someone who fights for the rights of the ordinary persons in the society."
“I believe I'll win the seat for the NDC and so I appeal to the delegates to vote for me,” he stressed.
The Madina seat is currently occupied by Abubakar Boniface Siddique, of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).
