She disclosed that women played a critical role in 2016 general elections adding that they would continue to play their role come 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections.

The Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts Minister ended her opening remarks by saying all hands must be on deck for NPP to win the 2020 general election therefore, "we must all play our parts".

The Western Regional Women's Organiser, Mrs. Abena Kwallah outlined the purpose of the conference.

In her speech, she said the women are ready for battle 2020 and Western Region was going to deliver on its promise by winning all the 17 seats in the region for New Patriotic Party (NPP).

She said, "the job dey grounds" and therefore urging all the constituency women Organizers and their Deputies, party activists, polling station executives to continue the good work they were doing for the party, hence all must get involved for the party to retain power come 2020.

The longest serving women's organiser in the region added that, the newly inaugurated regional women's maidens would be working with constituency women Organizers so the Constituency Women Organizers should embrace and work with them.

She concluded, by saying the NDC has no place in Western Region so far as the women's wing is concerned and with a slogan western region is now a "no go area for NDC."

The MCE for Prestea Huni Valley, Mozart K Owuh added his voice; by thanking the Regional Women's Wing especially the Regional Women Organizer for such an innovative program and for choosing Prestea Huni Valley constituency as the host constituency, "we are most grateful".

The MCE believes the party was going to widen the gap come 2020 elections and win 200 seats in Parliament and added that it could only be manifested based on the good work the party has done.

On his part, the Western Regional Chairman of the party, Francis Ndede Siah popular known as the Game Changer was very emphatic that, history would repeat itself because the NPP has laid a solid foundation throughout the country especially in Western Region.

The regional chairman believes that the party has done what it ought to do, therefore, "we must disseminate and propagate the good news of this current administration to the good people of Ghana".

The Western Regional Minister Kobby Okyere Darko-Mensah who is also an MP for Takoradi in his speech commended the Western Regional Women's Organiser for the initiative adding that she did same in 2000 for the party.

He said, "Abena Kwallah in 2000 is the same Abena Kwallah come 2020, and praised the women's wing for the good work that they are doing to support the party".

Hon Kobby was emphatic that the party was winning Ellembelle, Amanfi Central, Wassa East and Amanfi West which are currently held by the NDC in 2020.

He revealed that Western Region made 13,000 admissions in last year during the free Senior High School but currently the admission for this year was 27,000 and all these people including their parents were going to vote for NPP in 2020 elections.

On illegal mining, (galamsey), the Minister said, "We must applaud the President for replacing the galamsey with Community Mining and that all sites earmarked for Community mining will be operational by end of 2019".

On the Banking Sector. Hon. Kobby said that Government has saved over 1.5 million depositors from losing their life savings.

"When final audit was done on GN Bank; we realized claims by Groupe Nduom which stated this government is owing the entity Gh127m was false but the final audit brought the claim to Gh30m.

Meaning, all the claims by Groupe Nduom was not factual", he stated.

He, therefore, urged all party faithful not to be lured by the NDC's cheap propaganda of Government collapsing Banks but protecting our deposits.

On the part of our indefatigable MP for Essikado-Ketan and the Railway Development Minister Hon. Joe Ghartey added the NPP was winning 2020 elections come high waters or hell.

Hon Joe Ghartey recalled on what former president John Kufuor said during 2004 general elections when the campaign trail got to Bibiani. He said at Bibiani in 2004, you could see young and old women, soldiering on for the party and everywhere the party went, women were championing the cause of the party and so shall it happen in 2020.

He stated clearly that every social intervention programme undertaken by NPP Administration goes a long way to benefit the good people of Ghana like the introduction of NHIS, LEAP, Free SHS, MASLOC among others.

The Railway Minister said NPP has laid a strong foundation and from 2020 - 2024 the country will be a paradise.

Hon Joe Ghartey concluded by saying that, the future would be bright so we must all be part of the future.

On her part, the National Women's Organiser who was the special guest of honour, Kate Gyamfuah made mention that the NDC's green book was a mirage, a deception because the roads they claimed they have done was nowhere to be found and upon what the NPP is doing, "it's going to keep the NDC in perpetual opposition forever, nonetheless we must work hard to retain power for the party come 2020".

She, therefore urged all Constituency Women Organizers, their Deputies and all those at the Conference to remain resolute and continue to propagate the gospel to Ghanaians.

She said every woman must turn into a Samarian woman and start winning souls for the party.

The National Women's Organiser charged all MPs and MMDCEs to assist their women organizers for them to continue to work for the party and she believes NPP must win 80% of the popular votes looking at the work done by Nana Addo's government.

She was also not enthused on some attitudes demonstrated by some government appointees by not opening their doors to the party women organizers especially.

In conclusion, Kate Gyamfuah added that the women organizers must respect their MPs, MMDCEs and the Party Executives, for she believes by so doing each and everyone would never regret joining the party.

The Esuoso Divisional Council of Queen Mothers presented some gifts to the Regional Women's organizer for her leadership role and also assisting them to pay a courtesy call on the First Lady of the Republic of Ghana Mrs Rebecca Akufo Addo in Accra on 3rd of September, 2019.
