The opposition National Democratic Congress [NDC] says they are not aware of any date set by the Electoral Commission [EC] to commence the compilation of a new voters’ register.
The party’s General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia said in an interview on NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’ that the NDC has not been officially informed by the commission about the exercise even though they are against the move.
The compilation of a new voters' register for the 2020 elections will begin on April 18, this year, the Electoral Commission (EC) has confirmed.
The commission has also expressed the hope that it will complete the exercise by May 30, 2020.
