Assembly approves DCE

Dormaa-Ahenkro (B/A) July 16, GNA - All 60 Assembly Members present voted 'yes' to confirm the President's nominee, Squadron Leader (rtd) Benjamin Anane Asamoah as the new Dormaa District Chief Executive. He thus received a 100 per cent endorsement in the exercise supervised by officials of the regional Electoral Commission. Nana Kwadwo Seinti, Brong-Ahafo Regional Minister, commended "the dignified and matured manner in which the Assembly Members have accepted the President's nominee". He urged the Assembly Members to give the new DCE the necessary counselling and support to enable him to help improve the standard of living of people in the district. Mr. Stephen Ayensu Ntim, First national vice-chairman of New Patriotic Party, described the voters' commitment as "singular" and urged them to accord the new DCE similar commitment in the discharge of his duties.
