Paga (U/E), Oct 31, GNA - The Chiana/Paga constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Saturday elected seven executive members to steer the affairs of the party.
All the executives were elected unopposed. They are Mr Patrick Amoro, Chairman, Mr K. Wahab, Vice Chairman, Ms Benedicta Kawe Nabare, Women's Organizer and Mr Kojo Kopanamo, Secretary.
The rest are Mr Mohammed Abakuri, Youth Organiser, Dominic Abosia, Treasurer and while Mr Apiine Wewole was chosen as constituency Organizer.
Mr Abuga Pele, the Member of Parliament for the area, appealed to the rank and file of the party to stand solidly behind the party and work harder than before to ensure victory for the NDC in 2008. Madam Hilda Bolko, National Second Vice Chairperson of the NDC, expressed satisfaction with the elections and expressed the hope that the rest of the country would emulate the Chiana/Paga constituency to ensure a convincing first round victory for the NDC in 2008.
