Accra, Aug. 6 GNA - A 20-year-old amputee and a holder of a Diploma in Computer Hardware and Software, has appealed for employment to end his long spell of destitution.

Mr Halloh Gershon, who was leaning on a supporting stick, told the Ghana News Agency, in Accra on Friday that, he graduated from the Ashongman-based Right Way Computers Marketing and Trade Promotion in the Ga District, over a year ago and he is still unemployed.

" I was six years old when my left leg got swollen and was amputated at the St. Anthony Hospital at Dzodzi, in the Volta Region," he recollected almost in tears.

He said, he completed junior secondary school, in 2002 and due to financial constraints he could not realise his cherished ambition of getting tertiary education.

" I have resisted the temptation of begging or getting engaged in any unproductive or anti-social practices.

" I am therefore appealing to philanthropic individuals and organisations that need my services to give me immediate employment," or any kind of support they could offer," he said.
