Junior High School students expected to sit for the 2016 Basic Education Certificate Examination (B.E.C.E), in Dome Kwabenya of the Ga West District of the Greater Accra region have been warned against examination malpractices.
A special conference held over the week addressed issues of examination malpractices and cancellation of examination papers. Students were advised to be cautious and stay away from acts to prevent any cancellation of examination papers as it happened in 2015.
Rev. Samuel Kenny H. who led a team to address the conference said, the conference was organised to sensitize students and prepare their minds for the upcoming exams. According to him, it is their hope that, students will successfully write the exams without any case of malpractice or cancellation.
The students were also advised to also take their studies serious even after the examination. The 2016 examination is expected to start on June 13 through to June, 17, 2016. Five papers in the 2015 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) were cancelled because it leaked.
The subjects were English Language 2, Religious and Moral Education 2, Science 2, and Mathematics 2 and Social Studies 2. The papers have gone viral on social media especially WhatsApp Messenger.
