This year’s inter-school reading quiz under the theme, "Literacy for all; Inclusivity in Action” aims to empower all readers, enhancing literacy for life.

The launch of the 2025 Inter-School Reading Quiz (ISRQ) took place at the British Council, attracting over a hundred guests, including previous participants, winners, funding patrons, the traditional council, government agencies, and literacy-friendly organizations from Ghana and Africa.

Organized by Perbi Cubs, ISRQ 2025 aims to foster a love for reading and improve literacy skills among children between the ages of 6 and 14 in schools in Ghana.

This 2025 edition has already seen massive registration from various regions of Ghana.

The quiz encourages learners’ love for reading, builds their vocabulary and literary knowledge across different subjects and genres, and assesses their reading comprehension through questions crafted to be as fun as it is challenging.

After a competitive contest, a winning school will emerge, followed by the runner-up and second runner-up schools.

The winning team will receive an exciting international trip, while the runners-up will receive prizes and recognition.

At the launch, a speech read on behalf of Mrs. Perbi emphasized that this year's ISRQ is special due to its inclusive nature, welcoming visually impaired learners and hearing-impaired learners.

She highlighted Perbi Cubs' commitment to overcoming Africa’s learning poverty through digital library services, Success Club, Funtastika, Child Development, ISRQ, and more.

Esteemed guests from CENDLOS, Mastercard Foundation, and UNESCO stressed the importance of reading in shaping Ghana's youth.

Mrs. Anyele Perbi expressed gratitude to partners, schools, and students for their dedication to the competition.

As ISRQ 2025 begins, Perbi Cubs looks forward to more excitement, innovation, and celebration of reading excellence.
