A 35-year-old deaconess of Lead Me to Heaven Church, identified as Serwaa Akoto, has died under mysterious circumstances after she ignored a prophecy prompting her not to attend a funeral at Odumase.
According to a report by Angel FM’s Eric Amoako, the deceased, suddenly slumped and died during a funeral.
He disclosed that it later emerged that a prophet had warned the deceased not to attend the funeral.

“Prophet Oppong Yaw gave a prophecy that a funeral was about to take place in their family, and when it occurred, she should not attend. She was to wait until the funeral was over before going there, or a misfortune would befall her,” the reporter stated during Angel FM’s Midday News on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.

An amateur video of the incident, shared by Angel FM, shows the deceased suddenly collapsing in front of her family’s gate as a hearse arrived for the funeral.
The reporter stated that the incident has left the family and people of Odumase in a state of shock, with some linking the death to Prophet Oppong Yaw’s prophecy.
