Teacher-Mante (E/R), April 1, GNA - Mr. Ebenezer Oscar Anim Mante, a 57-year-old Public Relation practitioner of Accra was at the weekend installed the chief of Teacher-Mante, a farming community in the Suhum-Kraboa Coaltar District, with the stool name Fianko Anim Mante I. Nana Fianko Anim Mante succeeded his late father Nana Baffour Gyebi Siaw III, who died some few years ago.
Swearing the oath of allegiance to Nana Akoner Ashia, Chief of Asuboi, Nana Fianko Anim Mante pledged to bring peace, unity and tranquillity among the people for development.
Nana Fianko Anim Mante said he would ensure that projects like school infrastructure are put up to enhance teaching and learning in the area.
He called on the youth to show keen interest in farming rather than migrating to the cities and urban centres for non-existing white-colour jobs.
Nana Ohemaa Dini Mante II, and Nana Yaw Boame Gyasehene of Teacher-Mante advised the girl-child to take their education very serious to become good citizens in future.
Mr. Michael Kofi Mensah, District Chief Executive for Suhum-Kraboa Coaltar and Mr. Godfred Otchere, Member of Parliament for the area appealed to the people to bury their political differences and litigations and instead support the new chief to live up to expectation. They urged the people to join the National Health Insurance Scheme introduced by the government.
