Accra, Dec.24 GNA- Revellers of the Christmas holidays have been cautioned against immoral acts that could lure them into the unsuspecting arms of the dreadful HIV-AIDS disease.

The Reverend Robert Coffie, Head Pastor of the Glorious Harvest Chapel International, who gave the caution in a pre-X'mas interview with the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Wednesday said,

"HIV-AIDS is real and those who doubt the reality of the disease should re-examine the psychology of their thought."

He said anti-social activities like illicit sex, alcoholism and other forms of drug abuse associated to the Yuletide could lead people astray to acquire the rapidly spreading disease.

"Christians should view Christmas as the celebration of the birth of Christ and must not deviate from the scriptural teachings that admonish them to emulate the virtuous lifestyle of the saviour of mankind and be a worthy example to others".

Rev.Coffie called on Christians to thank God for the privilege he has granted them for being alive to celebrate Christmas and usher in the New Year.

"Every Christian should believe that 2004 would be fruitful and successful.

" God would however, not bestow his blessings on Ghana if Ghanaians do not work hard and strive to develop the country with determination".
