Mr Ediz Armador, the Project Manager of the ARDA-GRUP Limited, a construction company, has expressed worry over the rate of stealing at their various work sites.
He said over a period, construction materials and equipment at Akwatia and Oda work sites have been stolen and appealed to government to intervene to ensure the smooth execution of the projects.
He has also called on the public and the workers of ARDA-GRUP, to help provide protection against the thefts at the various work sites.
Mr Armador made the appeal in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Akim Oda in the Eastern Region.
Mr Armador said on April 22, at about 0100 hours one of their concrete trucks went missing at the Oda site and the matter was reported to the police.
He said the truck was later found at Amantra, a suburb of Akim Oda with nine of its tyres stolen with only three remaining, adding that the total cost of the tyres is estimated at US$9,000.
He said the ARDA-GRUP Limited is in the country to execute water supply expansion projects.
