Accident victims suffer double agony

Abuakwa (Ash), Feb 19, GNA-Fifteen accident victims who were receiving herbal treatment at a house at Abuakwa near Kumasi had to run for their lives when the house caught fire on Monday.

The fire destroyed the personal belongings; spare parts, unspecified amount of cash and the herbs, Alhaji Musah Abudulai, the owner of the house uses in the treatment of simple and compound fractures. Briefing the Ghana News Agency on the disaster, Alhaji Musah said he was away collecting herbs to treat his patients when he heard that his house was on fire and that it had destroyed all his property, including those of his two wives.

He said besides his herbal treatment, he deals in spare parts and keeps some of the parts in the house and at Suame Magazine and could not tell what started the fire.

Meanwhile, Alhaji Musah and his family, who are currently putting up with friends, has appealed to the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) for assistance.
