The 11th Annual Schools and Educators Conference dubbed ‘Schools Summit’ that is geared towards equipping and transforming over thousands of stakeholders responsible for the educational sector such as School Directors & Owners, School Heads, Managers and Administrators, I.C.T. Instructors and Teachers is expected to take place in Accra.
The two-day summit will start from Friday 26th to Saturday, 27th September, 2014 at the British Council, Accra which will also target other players in the sector such as After-School Care Givers, Entrepreneurs, School Marketing Managers, New and Prospective School Owners as well as Educational Consultants.
The event which is organized and promoted by the Digital Education Group (DEG) in partnership with its International and Local Partners is under the Theme - ‘Creating Competitive Advantage in Education’. According to the organizers, this year’s events will focus on contemporary topics for discussion that include Competitive Advantage through Personal and Educational Branding, Financing School projects, creating effective educational partnerships, staying ahead with Technology, Instructional Strategy, Promoting your school on Ghana’s only Schools Search Engine among others. High profile speakers include Mr. Anis Haffar (CEO, GATE Institute and of Educational Matters – Daily Graphic), Mr. George Andah (Former Chief Marketing Officer, MTN, and currently CEO, Rudder Solutions), Eugenia Tachie-Menson (VLISCO Ambassador and Executive Director of Spelling Bee Ghana) and Maximus Ametorgoh (CEO PopOut Ghana) among others. The Acting Director General of Ghana Education Service (GES), Mr. Charles A. Tsegah is expected to deliver the keynote address at the summit which would be followed by other speakers made up of renowned business executives and educators with great experience in Marketing and Branding, Education as well as best practices in Education who are made up of varied experiences from multinational corporations both International and local, with a passion for education. In a press note issued and signed by the Business Development Manager of the Digital Education Group, Mr. Ben-Ike Fredua Agyeman hinted that ‘Our innovative and interactive Morning Mentoring - Breakout Sessions will feature again this year, following its success last year; Distinguished Educational experts would personally interact with participants in smaller breakout sessions to discuss specific needs and share ideas to inspire educators to greater achievements in their schools and careers’.
He stressed that the Summit will also feature an ‘EDUFAIR’ - an exhibition platform aimed at showcasing a wide variety of discounted Products and Services for Schools including Schools Stationery, Educational toys, CDs & DVDs, Creative Arts & Crafts products, textbooks & workbooks, schools furniture, plus lots more.
