New Edubiase (Ash), Jan. 22, GNA - About 800 people from the informal sector have so far registered with the Adansi South District Health Insurance Scheme.
Mr Richard Sarkodie, Adansi South District Manager of the Scheme, who disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency in an interview at New Edubiase, said registration of those in the formal sector would commence next week.
He appealed to workers in the formal sector to patronise the Scheme by registering with it to get quality health care.
Mr Sarkodie commended the people for responding positively to the exercise and urged those who had not yet registered, especially those in the informal sector to do so.
He urged religious leaders and traditional authorities to lead in the education of their people on the need to register with the Scheme.
