Adentan Chief Imam congratulates Dr. Tamim on his appointment as Adentan Mufti

The Chief Imam of Adentan Municipal, Sheikh Mohammed Abubakar Mutawakil, has congratulated Dr. Tamim Abdul Wahab Abdul Kareem on his new role as the Grand Mufti of Adentan Municipal.

He commended the new Mufti for using his good leadership to unite the people of Adentan and its environs, and urged him to continue the good work of promoting peace, unity, and progress in the Municipality.

According to him, Dr. Tamim (Mufti) is a gift not only to the people of Adentan but to the nation at large. The Mufti's contributions to education, women's empowerment, and the development of Adentan Municipal have immensely benefited many in society, including himself (the Adentan Municipal Imam).

Sheikh Mohammed Abubakar Mutawakil made the commendation at the Inauguration of members of the High Council of Adenta Municipal Zongo and Tribal Chiefs and the 11th anniversary of Adenta Zongo Chief Wuro Adamu Salifu, where he presented a citation of honor to the Adentan Mufti.

He stated that the honor to the Mufti is in the right direction due to his development-oriented and academic leadership, which many have tapped into to shape their lives and well-being, becoming useful members of society.

He revealed that the charitable work and humble life of the Mufti have compelled many to adopt the lifestyle of doing good to others and being humble.

Sheikh Mohammed Abubakar Mutawakil described the Mufti as a man of principle who does things in line with the teachings of the prophet.

He commended the Mufti for his selflessness and commitment to teaching many people to become both Islamic and academic scholars, aiming to produce responsible individuals in society.

In a turn of events, the Mufti, Dr. Tamim Abdul Wahab Abdul Kareem, also presented a citation of honor to the Chief Imam of Adenta Municipal, who was his student, Sheikh Mohammed Abubakar Mutawakil, on behalf of the High Council of Adenta Municipal Zongo and Tribal Chiefs.

The citation of honor to the Chief Imam of Adenta Municipal reads:

"This Citation is presented to Imam Mohammed Mutawnakll Abubakari, the Chief Imam of Adenta Municipal, for an outstanding leadership achievement award for demonstrating extraordinary commitment and leadership and his unwavering support to the people of Adenta Municipal."

"The president and membership of high council of Adenta Municipal Zongo And Tribal Chiefs graciously confer this award of citation to you in acknowledgment of your vision, nondiscriminatory commitment to organize and empower the citizens of all faith and ethnicity to realize their corporate dreams and mandate."

"Your leadership has been marked by wisdom, humility, and integrity. We appreciate and commend you for your exceptional contribution to fostering and nurturing peace, constructive dialogue, inclusion, and progress in Adenta Municipal, Ghana."

The Mufti also commended him for being a shining example for other students and upholding the principles and teachings of the Quran.

Dr. Tamim Abdul Wahab Abdul Kareem is currently the Dean of the College of Islamic Studies in Madina, Accra.

Born in Accra in 1960, he obtained his first degree in the Kingdom of Arabia in 1986 and completed his master's degree in Pakistan in 1998.
