A GH¢ 70,000.00 mechanized borehole has been inaugurated at Adum-Kwanwoma, a fast growing community in the Atwima-Kwanwoma District, to provide the people with uninterrupted water supply.

The project was spearheaded by United States (US)-based NGO, Water in Africa through Everyday Responsiveness (WATER), with the funding from the Sahara Group of Companies in Nigeria.

Mr Jim Niquette, Director of WATER, said it was part of their contribution to efforts at helping to prevent water-related diseases to promote good health. The NGO has been working hard to bring potable water to buruli-ulcer endemic communities across the country.

Nana Kofi Agyei IV, the Chief of Adum-Kwanwoma, hailed the completion of the project and said the people would no longer struggle for good drinking water. He gave the assurance that everything would be done to ensure that it was properly maintained and announced a seven-member committee to take responsibility for just that.
