Ahafo-Ano North celebrates Ghana@50

Tepa (Ash), March 7, GNA - Under the auspices of the District Assembly and the Local Council of Churches, a number of activities were held for the celebration of Ghana @ 50 in the Ahafo-Ano North district in Ashanti.

The activities include flag raising, clean-up exercise, soccer competition, health walk, a film show, inter-denominational church service and street jam.

The celebration was climaxed on Tuesday with a parade of school children, security personnel, market women and voluntary organizations. Mr Eric Agyemang Prempeh, the District Chief Executive took the salute and later read the President's anniversary address to the gathering.

Later the DCE held a reception for a cross-section of the people.
