Ahmadiyya Head donates computers to school

Ekumfi Essarkyir (C/R), Feb. 2, GNA - The Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, Worldwide, His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih V, has donated five computers with accessories all worth 43 million cedis to the Ekumfi Ahmadiyya Secondary School at Essarkyir.

Briefing the Ghana News Agency, Mr Dimbie Mumuni Issah, Headmaster, said the donation was in fulfilment of a promise His Holiness Masroor Ahmad, who was Headmaster of the school from 1979 to 1983 made when he visited the school in March last year.

Mr Issah said the Ahmadiyya Head, an agriculturalist had promised to help the school to pursue courses in agricultural and computer programmes.

He said the Ameer of the Mission in Ghana Maulvi Wahab Adam presented the items in Accra on behalf of His Holiness Masroor Ahmad. Mr Issah appealed to the Mfantseman District Assembly, the past students of the school and citizens of the area to help the school to construct a computer laboratory.

He expressed gratitude to His Holiness Masroor Ahmad for his continued support for the school and gave the assurance that the items would boost the school's Information and Communication Technology (ICT) programme.

He said plans were advanced to introduce a programme in agriculture and appealed for tools and machinery for the new department.
