Airtel Ghana, a telecommunications company, has made a donation to support fish mongers under the Reverend Divine Galley’s micro finance scheme of Old Ningo.
Airtel also joined the children and caretakers of the Osudoku Global Orphanage in Osuwem near Asutsuare to spread the joy of the season and presented similar food items, mattresses and a water reservoir to them.
A statement issued in Accra by Mr Richard Ahiagble, Head of Corporate Communication and copied to the Ghana News Agency, said it was touched by Reverend Galley’s story and how he was leading the change to ensure children in the Lekpongunor community are back to school and empowering their mothers to cater for their families.
Mrs Lucy Quist, Managing Director of Airtel Ghana said: “At Airtel, supporting and investing in causes that empower people is core to our Corporate Social Responsibility strategy”.
She said “sometimes, it is the little things we all do that makes the most difference and we look forward to the ripple effect that our support will make in the lives of these beneficiaries.”

Reverend Divine Galley thanked Airtel Ghana for the kind gesture saying it would help to change live in the Lekpongunor community.
