Aiyinase (W/R), May 26, GNA - The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Lieutenant General Peter Blay has advised Nzema students to take their studies seriously in order to contribute their quota towards the development of Nzemaland and the nation as a whole.
He explained that it was only education that can open the doors for people to assert themselves and contribute to the growth of society. Gen. Blay gave the advice when he commissioned the revived Aiyinase Information and Communication Technology(ICT) centre in the Ellembelle district of the Western Region. He commended the Member of Parliament for the area, Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah for his commitment to education, and urged the youth to support him to deliver. Mr. Buah expressed worry about how the ICT structure was being left to go waste.
He said "in an era when people around the globe are communicating through the use of internet, it is crucial to ensure that the people of Ellembelle are not left out". Mr. Buah said "the days when a new government abandons the projects of a previous government are over". The DCE for Ellembelle, Daniel Eshun thanked the MP for hooking Ellembelle to the internet and called on the Aiyinase community to maintain the centre.
