Ajumako (C/R), July 27, GNA - An 11-member committee to plan the golden jubilee celebration of the installation of the Paramount Chief of Ajumako Traditional Area, Okokodurfo Ogyeabuo Nana Kwamena Hammah Ababio II, has been inaugurated under the chairmanship of Mr John Arthur Amissah.
He was installed on May 13, 1954 at the age of 18 years and the anniversary would be celebrated from September 18, 2010 to April 24, 2011.
The District Chief Executive, Mr Peter Light Koomson, congratulated the Omanhene for being the oldest reigning Omanhene in the Central Region.
He appealed to the Traditional Council and the anniversary committee to use the occasion to solve all chieftaincy problems.
Nana Hammah Ababio expressed appreciation to the committee and appealed to his people to unite, live in peace with one another, forgive and forget all past occurrences.
He told "chieftaincy contractors" to stay away from the traditional area and give peace a chance.
