Akrokerri (Ash.), May 16, GNA - The Students Representative Council (SRC) of the Akrokerri Training College at the weekend presented 50 assorted textbooks to the College.
The books valued at five million cedis covered Mathematics, English, Literature, Biology, Science and Music and Dance. The presentation coincided with the inauguration of a 360-million cedi Computer Centre at the College.
Mr Eric Annor, President of the SRC, said Darien Aid, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) based in America donated the books. He noted that the lack of adequate textbooks and other teaching materials was a major problem facing the students. Mr J.K. Asare, the Principal, who received the books thanked the donors and the SRC for the gesture and appealed to individuals and organisations to emulate their gesture.
