The items were presented on behalf of Alexander Afenyo-Markin
The Minority Leader of Parliament and Member of Parliament for the Effutu Constituency, Osahen Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has donated a significant quantity of food items to support Muslims in Effutu as they observe the holy month of Ramadan.
The donation, which forms part of his annual support to the Muslim community, included 90 bags of rice, 30 bags of sugar, and 22 cartons of milk. The items are intended to assist Muslim families within the constituency as they undertake the spiritual obligations of fasting and prayer during the sacred period.
Speaking on behalf of the Member of Parliament, Alhaji Musa Osumanu, the Nasara Coordinator of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Effutu Constituency, indicated that the gesture reflects the MP’s continuous commitment to religious harmony and community welfare.
According to him, the donation has become an annual tradition by the Effutu legislator and continues to provide meaningful support to many Muslim households during the fasting period.
