Alhaji Talal Fattal stable after heart procedure

Ghanaian media entrepreneur and philanthropist, Alhaji Talal Fattal, is reported to be in stable condition after undergoing a complicated heart procedure in the Middle East.

The former Metro TV Chief Executive Officer, in a telephone interview, described his experience, saying, “We thank the Almighty Allah for his mercies. I have come out safely from this heart procedure.”

According to Alhaji Talal, doctors encountered complications during the procedure but these were expertly managed and resolved.

He expressed gratitude to the medical team, his family and friends for their unwavering support and prayers.

Profile

Alhaji Talal Fattal’s influence in Ghana’s media landscape began in 1997 when he established Metro TV in Accra.

He also initiated the MTN Soccer Academy, which scouted talented young footballers and groomed them for both local and international stardom.

Talal Fattal further syndicated the national television broadcast rights for the last four FIFA World Cups and is currently working on securing the same for the 2026 World Cup for Ghana.

Awards

In 2023, Alhaji Talal Fattal was recognized as one of the most influential personalities in Ghana during the 100 Most Influential People Awards gala organized by the Business Executive Group.

He received a plaque and citation acknowledging his positive impact on Ghana’s socioeconomic, political, sports and cultural development.

Religion

Alhaji Talal Fattal is a devout Muslim and owns Masjid Al Salaam, located on the old Electoral Commission road in Adabraka, where Muslims gather for weekly Friday Jumaa prayers.
