Amanfopon Development Association inaugurated.

Amanfopon (C/R), Jan. 12, GNA - The Member of Parliament (MP) for Asikuma Odoben-Brakwa, Honourable Paul Collins Appiah Ofori inaugurated the Amanfopon Development Association (ADASS) based in Accra at a ceremony at Amanfopon last Saturday. The MP donated about 20 million cedis made up of 200 bags of cement and 10 bundles of roofing sheets towards the completion of a community centre and rehabilitation works on the Police Station.

Amanfopon (C/R), Jan. 12, GNA - The Member of Parliament (MP) for Asikuma Odoben-Brakwa, Honourable Paul Collins Appiah Ofori inaugurated the Amanfopon Development Association (ADASS) based in Accra at a ceremony at Amanfopon last Saturday. The MP donated about 20 million cedis made up of 200 bags of cement and 10 bundles of roofing sheets towards the completion of a community centre and rehabilitation works on the Police Station. The chairman of the ADASS, Mr Kwame Nkromah announced that the Association was constructing a 124 million cedis community complex centre at Amanfopon and that the third phase had reached roofing level. In his report the Secretary of the Association Mr Wilfred Abjartey said that the Association started with 80 members and therefore appealed to others to join them to undertake more projects in the community. The chief of the town, Nana Owudu Asaku Brempon V, who chaired the function commended the ADASS and urged them not to rest on their oars. The Assemblyman for Amanfopon, Mr Emmanuel T. Mensah announced that gold deposits have been discovered in the vicinity and that an appeal had gone to the government for geologists to explore the minerals.
