Ameyaw-Cheremeh renews commitment to constituents

The Member of Parliament for Sunyani East, AKwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh, has expressed gratitude to his constituents for renewing his mandate to serve them as their parliamentary representative for another four years.

According to Mr Ameyaw-Cheremeh, his re-election was an indication of the high level of confidence the people have in him as their MP, as well as their satisfaction with the various roles he had played in the development agenda of their communities.

In an interaction with a section of the media, the MP assured his constituents that he would continue to serve them and work together with other stakeholders to ensure continued development in the constituency. “I have been humbled by the level of confidence the people have reposed in me by re-electing me as their MP. That shows they were satisfied with my work in the first term, and I want to renew my commitment to the development of the constituency, and further call on all to join hands with me to move the constituency forward,” he stated.

The MP also urged the leadership and members of the New Patriotic Party to remain firm as they challenge the validity of the outcome of the December 7 and 8 general elections at the Supreme Court.

“I know majority of the people are not happy about the fact that Nana Akufo-Addo is not the president of the country at the moment. But all that I want to tell my constituents, and of course all NPP members, is to remain calm and allow the court processes to take place for the truth to prevail,” he stated.

Like many NPP members, Mr Ameyaw-Cheremeh, who is also a legal practitioner, is convinced his party is standing on a solid evidence to back its electoral petition at the Supreme Court.
