Anaji-Namibia gets 2.5 billion cedis clinic

Anaji (W/R), May 5, GNA- Dohamm Clinic, a 2.5 billion cedis privately owned health facility would soon be inaugurated Anaji-Namibia, a suburb of Takoradi to improve health service delivery to the community.

The project, started in 1972, would provide basic health care delivery for residents and nine other surrounding communities. They include Kwesiminstim, Asakae, Namibia, Kojokrom, Ntankorful, Kansaworodu, Whindo, Mpatado and Adientem.

Dr Alfred J. N. M. Dowuorna-Hammond, a 62-year-old general medical practitioner and a former Principal Medical Officer of the Effia-Nkwanta Hospital is the owner and founder of the Clinic.

Speaking during an inspection of the clinic, Dr. Dowuorna-Hammond said an outpatients department, injection room, nurses post, maternity examinations room, dressing room, places of convenience and equipment would be provided.

Dr. Dowuorna-Hammond, a Russia trained medical practitioner, has worked in several hospitals in the Western Region for the past 32 years and had retired.
