Koforidua, Dec. 31, GNA - Right Reverend Francis Benjamin Quashie, Anglican Bishop of Koforidua Diocese has called on Ghanaian workers to increase productivity to accelerate the growth rate from 6.2 per cent to eight per cent per annum to speed up the country's development. He appealed to Government to speed up the salary rationalization process to encourage workers to work efficiently and effectively.
Koforidua, Dec. 31, GNA - Right Reverend Francis Benjamin Quashie, Anglican Bishop of Koforidua Diocese has called on Ghanaian workers to increase productivity to accelerate the growth rate from 6.2 per cent to eight per cent per annum to speed up the country's development. He appealed to Government to speed up the salary rationalization process to encourage workers to work efficiently and effectively. The call was contained in a New Year message delivered by Rt Rev. Quashie when he interacted with media personnel in Koforidua. He congratulated all the political parties for their contribution towards the entrenchment of democratic practices in the country and urged them to consider Ghana first in all their activities. Rt Rev. Quashie appealed to the political parties to take active interest in the activities planned to celebrate Ghana's 50th Independence anniversary next year. However, he appealed to the Ghana @ 50 Secretariat to reschedule the Greening Ghana programme to the raining season because most of the trees being planted would not survive because of the harmattan.
