Ana Maria Teles Carriera, Angolan Ambassador, has called on African leaders to build bilateral relations to promote peace and security in the region.
She also suggested the establishment of a joint military commission as a first step of building relations between Ghana and Angola and the rest of Africa to harmonize peace on the continent.
Ms. Carriera made the call when she visited Vice Admiral Mathew Quashie, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) at his office in Accra.
A statement issued by the Public Relations Directorate of Ghana Armed Forces said the visit was to strengthen relations between Ghana and Angola and to seek Ghana’s assistance in training Angolan Military in English language.
The Ambassador presented a magazine of Angola’s 10 years peace project to the CDS.
Vice Admiral Quashie commended the Ambassador for the visit which he said would help strengthen the relations between the two countries.
He said Africa has become a global village and leaders have to come together and develop their countries endowed with enormous natural resources.
