Amoma (B/A) March 15, GNA - The Kintampo District Assembly is to construct a three-classroom block with an office, store and a library for the local Methodist Primary and Junior Secondary Schools at Amoma. Nana Peter Addae, Assembly Member for Amoma East Electoral Area told the Ghana News Agency that the project would be funded with part of the district assembly's HIPC fund.

He noted that the classroom block would decongest the two schools, following an increase in school enrolment.

Mr Addae advised parents to take advantage of the educational facilities being provided to support their children's education to enable them to become responsible citizens.

Mr Addae said people in his electoral area were organizing to construct a police station to combat crime.

The Assembly Member commended the youth for their self-help spirit, which had facilitated the development of the area.

He paid tribute to the former Chief of the area, Nana Amoateng Ameyaw, for his financial support towards the development of the community.

Mr Addae said, Nana Amoateng Ameyaw who is the Member of Parliament for Nkoranza North, was very instrumental in bringing electricity to Amoma. He said he had also donated generously towards the completion of the proposed Police Station.
