Anum Asamankese (ER), Sept. 24, GNA - Madam Agnes Aboagye, a US-based Ghanaian was on Tuesday installed as the Nkosuohemaa (Development Chief) at Anum Asamankese under the stool name Nana Adwoa Amoakoa the first. Swearing the oath of allegiance, Nana Amoakoa said she was ready to establish a clinic in the town, estimated at GHC20,000 for the people. According to her, she had mobilized over GHC10,000 from friends and well wishers towards the commencement of the project. Nana Amoakoa said her next priority would be to woo investors to establish businesses in the area to create jobs for the unemployed youth. She appealed to parents to take their children's education serious and not to engage them in farming or any other commercial activity at the expense of their schooling. Barima Kwasi Anyane the fifth, chief of Anum Asamankese, appealed to the people, especially the youth to guard against any acts of violence before, during and after the December general elections to ensure peace in the society. He said Ghana was "our only home" and therefore the current peaceful atmosphere should be jealously guarded.
